While on a quest across the galaxy to understand his identity and escape from Vader's influence, Starkiller becomes caught in the war between the Alliance and the Galactic Empire. Vader's attempts to breed a perfect apprentice from the original Starkiller's DNA leads to the creation of the clone who, possessing his predecessor's memories and realizing he will similarly be betrayed, escapes Vader. Players control a clone of Starkiller, the first game's protagonist and Darth Vader's secret apprentice who sacrificed himself after helping to form the Rebel Alliance. The Force Unleashed II is described as the "dark entry" in the series, and a more personal story for the game's protagonist than the first game. The game takes place approximately six months after the events of the first game, and a year before the film A New Hope. The game was released in the United States on October 26, 2010, and throughout Europe on October 29 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii consoles, as well as Windows and the Nintendo DS and iOS portable devices. It is the second installment of The Force Unleashed multimedia project, and the sequel to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (2008).
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is an action-adventure platform video game developed and published by LucasArts. I also had a star wars platform game on the original Game Boy but I didn't particularly like it and never finished it.Action-adventure, hack and slash, platformer
(Jedi Knight had some seriously ugly character models!) Never really got into the sequels though. I would love an updated version with better AI (and graphics).ĭark Forces was cool too, I finished it once, I remember it had some tricky puzzles towards the end. The AI is fairly predictable and I got a bit bored with dogfighting last time I played it. It was very challenging back them, but I feel like I have played them to death now. I would say X-Wing, and TIE Fighter (enhanced DOS versions) are two of my favourite games. (The missile boat and TIE Defender were both seriously OP). I remember I finished the whole game including both expansions and all the Emperor's secret missions. Later on my mate got the windows CDROM version of TIE Fighter and we played that to death as well. I was going through the floppies and found X-Wing, as a kid it blew my mind to be able to actually pilot an X-Wing in a game. Later on I was at my uncle's place and they had bought a second hand computer with a heap of floppies. He got an encyclopedia of star wars, including extended universe, and we just went through it and punched in various words into the game's password screen, and basically skipped most of the game. then the 'storm troopers in the base' level. We got stuck for the longest time on the fourth level, planet Kollador - third person view trying to dodge fallen columns. One of my mates was into star wars as well and we spent a lot of time playing it, taking it in turns after each death - neither of us played for very long each time. I might have been about 10 years old?Īnyway, it was a terrible game, a rails shooter with some really challenging game modes.
As a kid I loved the original trilogy and I remember getting a copy of Rebel Assault for christmas one year.
